Every season, we have the privilege of meeting travelers from around the world. Each brings a unique story, but every now and then someone arrives whose journey reminds us that adventure has no limits.

This season, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sylvie and her partner, two travelers whose passion for exploration is as inspiring as the landscapes they seek. Before setting off on the next chapter of their expedition, they joined us for a safari, a chance to experience Tanzania’s incredible wildlife before trading four wheels for two.

After days spent watching elephants roam, lions resting beneath acacia trees, and unforgettable African sunsets, they prepared for an entirely different kind of adventure. Their bicycles were packed, their route carefully planned, and their excitement impossible to miss.

Their journey would take them through the southern reaches of Tanzania, across the border into Malawi, onward through Zambia, and finally to one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders Victoria Falls.

There’s something remarkable about people who choose to travel this way. Cycling across countries means embracing every hill, every changing landscape, every village, every conversation, and every unexpected challenge. It is slow travel in its purest form, allowing every kilometer to become part of the story.

Meeting Sylvie and her partner reminded us that adventure isn’t measured by distance alone. It’s about curiosity, resilience, and the willingness to experience the world beyond the usual path. Their journey combines the thrill of a classic African safari with the freedom of long distance bicycle touring, a combination that perfectly captures the spirit of exploration.

As they pedaled south, we couldn’t help but imagine the memories waiting ahead, the warm welcomes from local communities, the changing scenery from Tanzania’s highlands to Malawi’s lake shore, the vast landscapes of Zambia, and finally the breathtaking sight and sound of Victoria Falls.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have shared a small part of their adventure. Hosting travelers like Sylvie and her partner is one of the greatest joys of what we do.
