Arusha National Park was first created in 1960 to preserve Wildlife and the Ecosystem around Arusha’s Mount Meru (4566 m). This unique national park is best to visit all year and has been reviewed to be at its peak between June and February. The National park 30 km from Arusha town is on the Eastern slopes of Mount Meru, covering a total of 322 kilometre square. The national park features craters, lakes and deep forest with waterfalls in them.
One of the main activity in Arusha National Park is walking experience. Clients get the opportunity to walk through the national park. To waterfalls and the famous Fig Tree Arch on the slopes of Mount Meru. This experience gives clients the opportunity to walk close to wild animals such as Giraffes, Buffalo and Warthogs. Together with an outstanding view of little Meru and Mount Meru on the Western side of the Mountain. On the East the spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen at this national park too.
Arusha national park Ngurudoto crater, this landscape with a 10.67 kilometre radius and 333 meters deep complements your experience at the national park. Visiting this area give clients the opportunity to see the amazing White and Black Colobuse monkey, closely seen in this ecosystem than anywhere in Tanzania. its vast tree and vegetation specie can give bird & wild life lovers a wonderful experience.
A game drive in the national park also gives clients the time to visit Momella lakes, this lakes located on the flat spaces of the national park host variety Wild Animals. Zebras, Giraffes and Water-bucks together with a very close view of Flamingos than anywhere in the Norther Tanzania Safari Circuit. At this lakes, with a small population of hippopotamuses clients can book a Canoe experience with Wayo Africa, we at Safiri are able to directly assist with this bookings.

Pick up from your accommodation at 7:30 am in the morning. Driving for 30 km from Arusha to Arusha National Park. At the entry gate, expected to arrive at 8:30, guide will start with a brief of the national park before driving to your walking safari start point. You will be expected to walk between Two (2) to Four (4) hours in the national park, advice and guided by the park ranges. Your Safari driver will then pick you up and drive to your picnic area after the walking experience. lunch around 1 pm, you will then drive towards the Momella lakes, A game drive as you heard towards the Ngurudoto Crater for a relaxing evening before driving out of the National Park. Arrival time at your accommodation is expected to be at Six (6) to Seven (7) pm in the evening.
