Lake Ngosi, also known as Ngosi Crater Lake, is a stunning natural wonder located in the Rungwe District of the Mbeya Region in southern Tanzania. It is renowned for its unique geological and ecological characteristics. a volcanic crater lake that was formed by the collapse of a volcanic caldera. The caldera was created by volcanic activity in the region thousands of years ago, leaving behind a large depression that eventually filled with water to create the lake.

The lake and its surroundings are home to a diverse and unique ecosystem. It is known for its pristine waters, surrounded by lush green vegetation and volcanic cliffs. The lake is surrounded by the natural forest with 9332 acres with massive ecosystem, it’s a suitable home for many species including Three horned chameleons, black and white Colobus monkeys, bamboo trees, natural banana plantations and several birds species.
