Overview

Visiting North Serengeti during summer season has always been spectacular. When the Grumeti River obstacle has been taken, Wildebeest herd move further north and start crossing the next big hurdle, the Mara River. In July, August to September of each year. The Mara River crossing, where so many iconic Great Migration photos have been taken. In this period, herds of wildebeest  frequently cross the Mara River, back and forth. A Three night stay in Serengeti, a place with wide range of Wildlife & a “wow” landscape, enough time to take it all in.

The great migration of Wildebeest. The resident population of lion, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and birds is also impressive.  With an ecosystem termed to be one of the oldest on earth.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park.

Early pick up from your accommodation and a stop at a supermarket before driving out of Arusha, heading towards Tarangire National Park. Arriving between 9 am to 11 am. Explore this amazing landscape mostly covered by big Baobab trees and a large concentration of elephants. Packed lunch at a picnic site between 12 am to 2 pm. Thereafter enjoy a game drive before driving to your accommodation in Lake Manyara Area. Arrival time at the Campsite is between 4 pm to 6 pm. Overnight at Migombani Campsite

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park.

Early morning drive to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Crater. A drive through Karatu town into the heartlands of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Arrive at Ngorongoro Main Gate between 8 am to 11 am. Then driving past Ngorongoro crater viewpoints. Arriving in Serengeti Naabi Gate between 12 pm to 3 pm. Lunch at Naabi Gate. After this, a drive to your campsite in Seronera while enjoying an evening game drive. Arriving at the campsite between 5 pm to 6 pm. Overnight at Serengeti Heritage Campsite & Lodge or similar accommodation

Day 3: Serengeti Full Day Safari, Towards North Serengeti.

Early morning pick up from your campsite/lodge in central Serengeti. Sunrise safari during early hours. Exploring Serengeti on this day with the aim of arriving at the Northern plains. Picnic lunch for this day. Arriving at you accommodation at your proffered time. Evening game drive can be arranged depending on clients interest. Accommodation for this night is Angaata North Serengeti Campsite

Day 4: North Serengeti, Wildebeest Mara River Crossing experience

Early Pick from your accommodation in North Serengeti, driving towards Mara River in the hopes of site seeing this great event of Wildebeest facing the harsh challenge of crossing rivers filled with Africa Biggest Crocodiles. A balanced Day of exploring & resting. Picnic Lunch or Bush lunch in the wild is expected on this day. Evening is available for safari enthusiast, may need planning. Overnight accommodation for this night is Angaata Serengeti

Day 5: North Serengeti, Wildebeest Mara River Crossing experience

A second day of exploring North Mara will be tailored to your mood. Starting the day at your preferred time, with a day planned on visiting new spots while on the aim of witnessing the great river crossing. A balanced Day of exploring & resting. Picnic Lunch or Bush lunch in the wild is expected on this day. Evening Safari is available for safari enthusiast, may need planning.

Day 6: North Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Early Morning start on this day. Recommended time of 6 am to 7 am. With the aim of checking out of Serengeti, the drive from North Serengeti to Central Serengeti. Making stops on the way & exploring what Serengeti displays while on route. Picnic lunch is expected at Central Serengeti. Then an afternoon & evening drive towards Ngorongoro highlands. Arriving at Rhino Lodge early for Dinner & a rest.

Day 7: Game drive in Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning game drive in Ngorongoro crater. Game drive time between 4 to 6 hours. Lunch in the crater picnic area or at the campsite depending on your preferences, hot lunch can be made at your previous accommodation in Ngorongoro. The safari is set to end in Arusha town at 6 pm on this Day. Drop off at your booked accommodation in Arusha.

Safari starts at 8:30 am (Unless advised otherwise by Safiri). Safari is set to start in Arusha town. A start from Kilimanjaro region is also possible. Pick up at Kilimanjaro Region is between 6 am to 7 am.

When and where does the tour end?

Safari is set to end in Arusha town, between 5 pm to 6 pm in the evening. Drop off at your booked accommodation. Safari can end in Kilimanjaro region, drop off between 8 pm to 9 pm.

Do you arrange airport transfers?

What is the maximum number of booking for this safari package?
